Q: What does Eimear Lacey Music provide?
A: At Eimear Lacey Music we are striving for excellence. Students will learn in a music studio with a tuned piano with adjustable stool. An area for completing theory with use of compluter if necessary. Experienced teacher for lessons. Easy access to bathroom facilities.
Q: What kind of lessons do you offer?
A: We offer Piano, Voice and Guitar Lessons at Eimear Lacey Music. All lessons are on a one to one basis. They are 30 mins in length. Lessons are once a week and are time tabled on an agreed day and time by tutor and student.
Q: Are Lessons charged by a term or on a week to week basis?
A: Lessons are charged by the term. Our terms and fees can be found on the website.
Q: Can I sit in with my child on a lesson?
A: No. We do not allow parents to sit in on lessons. However in the instance where a child is a little nervous on his / her first lesson we do permit a parent to sit in for a few minutes while the student is getting comfortable with the tutor.
Q: Do lessons take place during school holidays?
A: No. Eimear Lacey Music runs with the same calendar as the primary schools so there will be a mid term break, christmas holidays and summer holidays.
Q: Are there Lessons on Bank Holidays?
A: No. there are no lessons scheduled on Bank Holidays.
Q Are the teachers fully qualified and garda vetted?
A: Yes. Teachers qualifications and teaching experience can be found on the website and teachers have been garda vetted.
Q: Do you teach exams?
A: Yes. We prepare students to sit exams which are set out by the board of the Royal Irish Academy of Music. We teach the practical and written theory grades for Piano, Guitar and Singing.
Q: Can I skip a grade of Royal Irish Academy Exam?
A: No. The skipping of grades is not permitted at Eimear Lacey Music.
Q: Do I have to own a piano in order to start lessons?
A: No you do not need to have a piano in the home when starting lessons. A keyboard will suffice for a beginner student.
Q: What if I am late for my lesson?
A: If you are late for your lesson you will receive only the balance of your lesson time.
Q: Do I have to pay for a missed lesson?
A: Yes. All lessons in a term must be paid for whether taken or missed. A time tabled lesson missed by the student is therefore forfeited. A lesson missed by the tutor will be made up at a mutually convenient time or credited.
Q: Can I re-schedule a missed lesson?
A: No. As all lessons are scheduled for each student individually and it is not possible to rearrange a missed lesson.
